Consultant-Led Adenomyosis, Endometriosis & Fertility Strategy

Many women arrive after years of heavy periods, pelvic pain, or fertility uncertainty — having tried multiple treatments without a clear plan or a coherent explanation.
This practice offers something different: a structured clinical assessment that identifies what is actually driving your condition, and a plan that follows from it.
Advanced diagnostics. Consultant-performed ultrasound. Integrative clinical reasoning. In-person in Manchester and online across the UK. Consultations in English and Russian.

This practice is designed for
women who have complex symptoms,
have usually tried more than one approach,
and are ready to understand the full picture — not just manage the next symptom.
  • Persistent or worsening adenomyosis or endometriosis
  • Heavy bleeding, pelvic pain, or symptoms that have not responded fully to treatment
  • Fertility concerns — current or future — that need a coherent plan
  • Recurrent miscarriage or implantation failure without a clear explanation
  • A sense that something is being missed, but not knowing what
STRATA Clinical Framework™
The STRATA Clinical Framework is a structured assessment approach developed by Dr Ksenia Alex. It evaluates each case across six layers — structure, timing, reproductive intent, activity, terrain, and action — to produce a complete clinical picture and a sequenced plan.
Available in person in Manchester and online across the UK. Consultations in English and Russian.
For women with complex adenomyosis or gynaecological conditions where standard approaches have not provided clarity or resolution.

ENDOMETRIOSIS AND ADENOMYOSIS MAPPING SCAN: Advanced Ultrasound for Early and Accurate Diagnosis&Fertility assessment
At our clinic, we utilise state-of-the-art ultrasound technology to offer comprehensive Endometriosis and Adenomyosis Mapping Scans. These advanced scans enable early detection and precise assessment of these conditions, which are often diagnosed late but can significantly impact quality of life.
This non-invasive, high-tech approach ensures a thorough understanding of your pelvic health, guiding personalised treatment strategies to alleviate symptoms and protect overall organ function.
Why Choose Our Advanced Ultrasound Scans?
Both endometriosis and adenomyosis frequently cause complex changes within the pelvic region, including chronic inflammation, muscle tension, nerve injuries, and impaired motor functions. The pelvis is an intricate structure composed of muscles, ligaments, nerves, blood vessels, and organs. Damage or alterations to any part can trigger a cascade of issues affecting overall pelvic health.
Early diagnosis is crucial. Many cases of adenomyosis, in particular, are diagnosed late due to subtle or overlapping symptoms. An early, detailed scan allows for prompt identification of these conditions, enabling timely treatment.
Key Symptoms Which Should Prompt an Early Ultrasound Assessment:
  • Severe dysmenorrhea (painful periods)
  • Heavy menstrual bleeding
  • Chronic pelvic pain
  • Bowel symptoms
Addressing these symptoms early with specialised imaging can prevent disease progression and associated complications.
The Assessment Process
Our comprehensive evaluation includes:
  • Review of your medical and family history
  • Gynaecological history assessment
  • Fertility assessment for women or couples.
  • Symptom analysis
  • Physical examination
  • Pelvic region mapping scan — a critical element providing detailed insights into the presence, extent, and severity of endometriosis, adenomyosis, and ureteral involvement (quiet obstructions or compression caused by endometriosis can impair urine flow, potentially leading to kidney damage).

How I Work: Consultant Gynaecology & Functional Medicine

I assess biochemical and micronutrient status, thyroid dynamics, inflammatory markers, and hormone patterns — together, not in isolation.

My Clinical Philosophy

Modern medicine excels at detecting disease but often falls short when symptoms persist despite "normal" test results. Most women I see don't have rare conditions—they have patterns that haven't been properly connected. My role is to interpret these patterns clearly and guide you toward solutions that address underlying causes, not just symptoms.

Beyond "Normal" Lab Results

Standard laboratory ranges detect disease at a population level but don't define what's optimal for you as an individual. This is why you might experience:
  • Persistent fatigue or energy crashes
  • Irregular or problematic cycles
  • Ongoing pelvic pain
  • Inflammatory symptoms
  • Metabolic or mood disruptions
Even when your results appear "normal," these symptoms are telling us something important about how your body is functioning.

My Assessment Approach

I work at the pattern level, examining how different systems in your body interact. Depending on your case, this might include evaluating:
  • Cycle quality and ovulation patterns
  • Biochemical and micronutrient status
  • Complete thyroid function (beyond basic screening)
  • Stress response and cortisol dynamics
  • Gut-hormone connections
  • Inflammatory and metabolic markers
Testing is always targeted, staged, and clinically justified—never just to "check everything." I assess biochemical and micronutrient status, thyroid dynamics, inflammatory markers, and hormone patterns — together, not in isolation.

What Functional Medicine Really Means

Functional medicine isn't alternative medicine. It's an evidence-based framework that asks better questions about why symptoms occur and persist. In practice, this means:
  • Addressing root causes, not just managing symptoms
  • Understanding why conditions recur or plateau
  • Integrating lifestyle, nutrition, and medical treatment
  • Using proven interventions, not trending supplements
When medication or surgery is the right answer, I'll recommend it. When lifestyle and nutritional interventions are more appropriate, we'll focus there.

Clear Boundaries for Better Care

To maintain clinical safety and provide you with the best possible care, consultations are structured and focused. I don't provide ongoing advice by email, quick questions outside appointments, or result interpretation without proper review appointments.
Follow-up care is always scheduled, time-defined, and appropriately structured to ensure you receive the attention and analysis your health deserves.

Is This Approach Right for You?

This model works best for women who:
  • Want to understand their bodies, not just suppress symptoms
  • Are ready to engage actively in their health journey
  • Value precision and evidence-based care
  • Understand that complex issues require structured, thoughtful work
This approach isn't suitable if you're looking for quick fixes or unlimited access outside of appointments.

Working Together

My role isn't to replace conventional medicine—it's to use it more effectively and extend it where it falls short. If you're ready to move beyond symptom management to truly understand and optimize your health, this approach may be exactly what you've been looking for.
